In a slightly surreal sequence in mid-May, Gérald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior and Overseas Territories, allowed Action Française to benefit from publicity from which no one, within the royalist movement, could not dream. Continuous news channels, radio, written press, social networks… For a week, everyone felt authorized to give their opinion on the power and current nuisances of the royalist far right in France.

“L’Action française, how many divisions?” » some worried. They were 600 activists to pay homage to Joan of Arc, place des Pyramides in Paris, Sunday May 14; they claim 3,000 up-to-date members; the movement would bring together 10,000 people, the supporters of a “new Capetian adventure…
