Trump slams ‘travesty of justice’

Donald Trump denounced, Monday, June 13, the “parody of justice” constituted by the work of the parliamentary commission, with a majority Democrat, which accuses him of “attempted coup”in a 12-page statement where he reiterates his false allegations of fraud regarding the 2020 election.

“This comedy (…) is a brazen attempt to divert public attention from the truth (…) which is that Americans overwhelmingly came to Washington on January 6, 2021 to hold their elected officials accountable for the clear signs of criminal activity in the election”writes the former president in this document, despite the countless evidence to the contrary.

The so-called “January 6” commission, made up of seven Democrats and two Republicans, has been investigating for almost a year to shed light on the responsibility of the Republican billionaire in the attack on the American Congress by his supporters.

During two public hearings, the elected officials successively tried to demonstrate that Donald Trump had been at the center of a “attempted coup” in “encouraging” his supporters to storm the seat of Parliament, and that he had continued to hammer his ” lies “ even after his closest advisers told him he had lost to Joe Biden.

Four other auditions are to follow until June 23.
