From November to January had taken place the DPC NA 2021/22 Round 1: Dota 2 Division I who, after 6 weeks of competition, as well as a tiebreaker, had seen 4 teams qualify for the regional finals: Quincy Crew, TSM, Evil Geniuses and 4 Zoomers. These regional finals also took place this weekend and concluded with the victory of TSM, which imposes itself on the stage of Dota 2.
These DPC NA 2021/22 Round 1: Dota 2 Regional Finals on computer therefore took place from February 18 to 20, and consisted of a double-elimination tournament, opposing the 4 qualified teams. In Round 1 of the Upper Bracket, TSM easily wins 2-0 against the Evil Geniusesto join Quincy Crew in the Upper Bracket Final, having won in Round 1 also 2-0 against 4 Zoomers. During this Final, TSM still wins 2-1, with an express victory in 20 minutes on the 3rd game. TSM therefore advances to the Grand Final, where the American team is then joined by the Evil Geniuses who, despite their defeat in Round 1, win against 4 Zoomers in Round 1 of the Lower Bracket then 2-1 in the Final of the Lower Bracket against Quincy Crew.
At the end of a thrilling final where TSM did not let go of a single second, conceding the first and the third part, the team eventually wins with a score of 3 to 2. The team therefore obtains with this victory 250 DPC Points and $50,000 of cashprize and shows that this year, TSM is ready to rule the North American scene by becoming NA champion in Dota 2. As a reminder, the West EU finals saw Gladiators win ahead of TL.
