James hits opponents in the face and flies
LeBron James is a total basketball idol. His action in the NBA game against the Detroit Pistons tarnishes the picture a little, because he hits his opponent in the face with his hand in a scramble. He’s bleeding and getting very angry. The referee finally sends them both off the field.
Basketball idol LeBron James has been expelled for the second time in his long NBA career. The superstar of the Los Angeles Lakers hit his opponent Isaiah Stewart in the face in the game at the Detroit Pistons (121: 116) in a scramble for a good rebound position – Stewart was bleeding and got angrier in the seconds afterwards.
He had to be held back several times by many supervisors, the situation seemed very heated. He tried to confront James. This led to a crush between players from both teams, coaches and security guards. Stewart was initially charged with a foul in the rebound situation, but according to the video images, the referees then sent 36-year-old James into the cabin. As a trigger for the subsequent pack formation, Stewart had to follow him a little later.
“Everyone in the league knows they’re not a dirty player,” said Lakers top scorer Anthony Davis (30 points) of James. Pistons head coach Dwane Casey made a similar statement. The only other time James was previously sent off in the North American professional league was in a game against his ex-club Miami Heat in November 2017. By the time he was suspended in the third quarter, James got ten points and five rebounds.
Mavs are losing again
After 18 games with a balanced record, the Lakers are eighth in the Western Conference. After a quarter of the season, the record champions are still lagging behind their own claims and are currently not in a place with direct qualification for the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks lost on the return of national basketball player Maxi Kleber. At the LA Clippers, the Mavs, who have to do without their superstar Luka Doncic, lost 91:97. For Dallas it was the third loss in a row. On his comeback, Kleber had five points and four rebounds in just under 20 minutes of play. The 29-year-old had been absent since the beginning of November due to a back injury. Isiah Hartenstein recorded two points and two rebounds at the Clippers. In the Eastern Conference the Chicago Bulls come after the 109: 103 against the New York Knicks like the Brooklyn Nets to twelve wins and five losses.
