Tunisia: a “spiritual healer” arrested for hundreds of rapes


A Tunisian posing as a “spiritual healer” was arrested on Tuesday (May 10) after he appeared in a television report on the private channel Al Hiwar Ettounsi in which he admitted having tricked hundreds of women into having sex. with him, we learned from a judicial source.

The journalist from the Tunisian channel posed as a potential client in an attempt to trap the alleged spiritual healer. The latter persuaded his victims that this sexual intercourse was the remedy for the problems of which they complained.

According to Fatma Boukattaya, the spokeswoman for the Ariana court in the suburbs of Tunis, the man, arrested on Tuesday, was already under investigation before the broadcast of the report for his suspicious activities on social networks.

The man notably used a Facebook profile named “Bolga Kahlaoui”, in order to attract his victims, all women.

14 sessions to “heal”

In the report broadcast Monday evening on Tunisian television, the man claimed to have powers that could exorcise “black magic”. He told the journalist that his methods have “guaranteed results” and that he has “treated” between 800 and 900 women with “sex sessions”.

“Tonight you’re going to sleep with me and you’ll recover 1000 percent,” he told the journalist during a meeting filmed with a hidden camera.

Eya Guezguez had participated in the Tokyo Olympics with her twin sister.

He fixed for each client a certain number of “sessions” supposed to “cure” her from the evils that haunt her. To the journalist who describes false troubles to him, he advises 14 “sex sessions” at a total price of 210 Tunisian dinars (equivalent to 65 euros).

One of his victims, a 25-year-old student, said on the show that she had been sexually abused for three years by this “healer”.
