The player’s companion
The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro may scare frugal gamers with its price tag, but it can be worth the purchase because the headset comes with many features and at the same time a respectable pair of Bluetooth headphones.
We liked that
- Comfortable
- Plain optics
- good sound
- ANC
- battery life
- Battery concept with replacement
- Also fits the PS VR2
We didn’t like that
- Buttons on the auricle not so easy to feel
- Volume wheel feels a bit cheap
- Dust and hair easily stick to the microphone rod
- Noise when there are solid objects between the charging station and the headset
With a gaming headset, you can play your favorite game in peace without disturbing others in the room. It also offers the benefit of being able to voice chat with others during your gaming session. This is particularly useful, for example, if you are playing as a team in a game and need to communicate at all times in order to coordinate ideally.

Conclusion & alternatives
Gaming headsets are already available for less than 100 euros. So you don’t necessarily have to loot your account to buy such a device. However, it can be worth investing a little more money to have even more fun with the product.
The price tag of Turtle Beach’s new “Stealth Pro” may initially put you off. The hardware manufacturer charges 330 euros, but you get a lot in return.
Turtle Beach feature pack
Stealth Pro is an over-ear construction with leather-covered temples and ear pads (memory foam). The headset can be adjusted to different head sizes and, as the tester confirmed, taller people can also wear the Stealth Pro comfortably, even for two hours continuously.

Here you can take a closer look at the headset in photos.
The device looks robustly made, but the plastic does not give a very high-quality impression in some places, such as the buttons or the rotary switch for the volume. Nevertheless, the operation is not negatively affected.
Dirt is quickly removed from the headset, dust and hair only stick slightly to the microphone rod, which is a little ugly.

Turtle Beach Pro
The design shows a rather simple look. No glaring RGB lights, no flashy areas of color or stickers. Turtle Beach aims to offer a premium feel here and more as an alternative to the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro competitor.
We find the headset not only comfortable, but also pleasantly discreet. With this device you can also easily listen to music on the go; simply remove the microphone, cover the indentation and off you go.
Good sound and ANC
Whether you’re on the go or at home, you get consistently good sound for your money. Sound from video games, music from apps like Spotify – the gamer likes to listen here.
Highs, mids and bass are balanced in the auditory canal, even if the mids and bass could do with a little more substance – especially when gaming. If you still want to make adjustments here and there, set your own preferences in the “Audio Hub” app.
The voice quality in voice chats is okay, if not exactly outstanding.
We did occasionally hear static while gaming, but this was due to objects between the headset and the charging station, such as a couch or a solid table. You should therefore place the charging station within sight, otherwise there could be interference.
Superhuman Hearing
You can also activate the “Superhuman Hearing” feature in the app. Ambient noises in games are emphasized here, so that you can hear footsteps, shots and reloading sounds better, for example, and thus find your way around the game a little better.
The feature isn’t entirely new, but we think activating Superhuman Hearing can be worthwhile – for example in shooters like Call of Duty.
ANC
Like Superhuman Hearing, you can activate active noise cancellation (ANC) using buttons on the outside of the right ear cup or via the app. Since the buttons on the device are not always easy to feel, we consider control via the app to be a useful operating aid.
The noise cancellation has a noticeable effect. Background conversations, for example, are much more muffled and you feel like you can focus on game sounds better. Of course, the ANC of the Stealth Pro doesn’t really help with very high tones or shrill construction site noise.
Long battery life
According to Turtle Beach, the battery life is twelve hours per charge, and the battery lasted even longer in the test. When you turn on the headset, a voice will notify you of the battery status, so you can prepare to change it soon.

That’s easy too. A second battery is included in the scope of delivery, which is always charged in the charging and pairing station (which you connect to your PC or console). Simply quickly replace the battery and you can continue. So you can easily change the batteries again and again – a nice idea that also works.
Compatibility, release and price
Turtle Beach Stealth Pro is compatible with PC, Nintendo Switch, Mac, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, but you’ll have to choose between a PlayStation or Xbox version. However, both models should always work on the other platforms such as PC, Switch and Mac.
