The ARD television film “Firefighters” is getting a second part. Filming is already underway.
That’s what “Firefighters” is about
In the second part of the ARD Degeto series we meet the two firefighters Anja and Meike around a year after they first met. The volunteer fire department team not only has to solve a mysterious series of fires, there is also a huge fire in the squad’s private life. One tries to hide the fact that she lost her job and house and is having an affair with the local military leader Rainer (Merlin Sandmeyer). The other cannot admit to herself that she feels strange on her own farm. This leads to some tension until eventually control over what is happening seems to be lost.
The film is directed by Martin Busker, based on the script by Volker Krappen. Filming is scheduled to continue until the end of September. There is no official broadcast date yet.
