The subject of trisomy 21 is delicate. However, it concerns a large part of the French since, each year, 500 children are born with a congenital chromosomal anomaly: trisomy 21. This is why M6 will broadcast a special evening on September 8 with a previously unseen TV movie, Learn to love you. Directed by Stéphanie Pillonca, we can find Ary Abittan and Julie de Bona who will play Franck and Cécile. When the latter gives birth, she learns that their daughter is a carrier of Down's syndrome. During the pregnancy, nothing had been detected and the two young parents will have to learn to live with it, to accept the difference of their daughter and to fight against discrimination that she might encounter during her life.

In order to make the story as authentic as possible, the director of the TV movie Stéphanie Pillonca has collected the testimony of 30 families affected by Down's syndrome. Following the broadcast of this feature film, M6 will provide a TV set hosted by Flavie Flament. The presenter will open a discussion with the actors of Learn to love you as well as families concerned by the subject. Two documentaries will then be highlighted from 11:05 pm: Autistic or Down's Syndrome: different and happy! and "Down's syndrome … so what?"

We will be able to discover there portraits of adults with Down's syndrome. M6 wishes to change the vision of society in general concerning Down's syndrome. See you on September 8 from 9:05 pm to discover this TV movie, the TV set as well as the two unreleased documentaries.
