Thursday brought the start of the season of “Germany’s next top model” and the new edition of “7 days, 7 heads” with strong ratings.

The ProSieben casting show “Germany’s next top model” has been running since 2006. And in recent years, Heidi Klum (48) and her models have had to deal with fluctuating quotas. However, the start of the current season on Thursday evening was a real success: 20.4 percent market share in the target group of 14 to 49 year olds and 2.06 million viewers in the total audience gave the show its best start in 13 years. This is reported, among other things, by the industry magazine “Meedia”.

Surprisingly, the jungle camp running in parallel with competitor RTL was only just able to surpass this success. The show “I’m a star – get me out of here!”, which ran on Thursday at 8:15 p.m. instead of the usual 10:15 p.m., picked up 20.7 percent of the advertising-relevant group. However, when it came to the overall audience, the lead was much larger: 4.09 million people watched Harald Glööckler and Co. in front of the campfire on Thursday.

Successful start for “7 days, 7 heads”

The new edition of the RTL comedy show “7 days, 7 heads” then also benefited from the jungle camp, which was a magnet for spectators. A total of 3.21 million people tuned in when Bernd Stelter (60), Guido Cantz (50) and Co. ripped their dirty tricks. Even among young people (14-49 years), the market share was a respectable 17.5 percent.
