TV series, novel, teaching: the new life of Edouard Philippe: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

But what do politicians do when they step away from media life? Far from having retired, Edouard Philippe, former Prime Minister of the Macron government and mayor of the city of Le Havre, in Seine-Maritime, is an overbooked man. It is in the columns of the Parisian dated Saturday December 26, 2020 that we learn that theformer head of government is writing a new novel! Inspired by his life in the corridors of Matignon and his career as Prime Minister, it is written with four hands, since Gilles Boyer, MEP and long-time friend of Edouard Philippe, is also part of this adventure. "It occupies us a lot ", explains the deputy to our colleagues. "But we don't know yet when it will be released. We want to go fast enough, because time flies, but we don't give ourselves a deadline either. One morning, we'll get up, and we'll tell ourselves it's the right one. moment it is finished ". The release of this book is scheduled for "current 2021" according to information from Parisian.

But this is not the first book that Edouard Philippe wrote. Indeed, the two friends have already collaborated in the past. They are authors of "In the dark" published in 2011 by editions JC Lattès. Besides, their work will be adapted for television as a series. Here, the story takes place, once again, in the political sphere, the cogs of which are well known to Gilles Boyer and Edouard Philippe.

Edouard Philippe "turned towards other horizons"

As one of his relatives explains to our colleagues from Parisian, Edouard Philippe would be today "turned towards other horizons" although he does not stray too far from the political world. The mayor of Le Havre is giving body and soul to his new projects. "He's free like Max", summarizes Charles Hufnagel, his former communications advisor, referring to the famous song by Hervé Cristiani. According to another close to the former Prime Minister questioned by The Parisian, Edouard Philippe does not put any barrier and would even consider, perhaps, to turn to … teaching.
