A murder and a missing person keep the Viennese “Tatort” commissioners (Das Erste) on their toes. In “Long Shot” (ProSieben), chaos hooks up with a successful politician. Meanwhile, “Der Zoowärter” (RTL Zwei) receives flirt tips from his animals.

8:15 p.m., Das Erste, crime scene: The wet nurse, crime story

The discovery of a dead person in a desolate residential area is reported anonymously in the early hours of the morning. Jana Gruber (Susi Ramberger) was overwhelmed and brutally killed in her house. Circumstances suggest that the woman worked as a prostitute and that she had a child. But the nursery is orphaned, there is no trace of the child, a ten-year-old boy. Moritz (Harald Krassnitzer) and Bibi (Adele Neuhauser) determine.

The zookeeper Griffin Keyes (Kevin James) is a nice fellow who loves his job at the Franklin Park Zoo. He likes the animals, but unfortunately has no luck with the women. He decides to make a career change and to look for a job that is more respected among women. This in turn alerts the animals of the zoo, who do not want to lose their caring keeper under any circumstances. They break their vow of silence and reveal to him that they can speak. With tips for a successful courtship, they want to teach their beloved caregiver to win a woman’s heart.

Maren (Rosalie Thomass) works for a towing company. When she finds a bag with over 600,000 euros in a car, she is put to a tough test. Her husband Dennis (Friedrich Mücke) has to learn to walk again after an accident and it is uncertain whether the insurance will pay the treatment costs. Maren gives in to temptation: She takes the money and wants to keep it despite Dennis’ objections. But there is someone who misses the 600,000 euros. One who does not make compromises, does not negotiate and does not pay a finder’s fee.

10:15 p.m., ZDF, Midsummer Murder: Vicky, crime thriller

The famous professor of child psychology, Carl-Johan Berger (Leif Andrée), is stabbed to death during a ceremony on his property. Vicky (Malin Crépin), Alexander’s (Nicolai Cleve Broch) wife who has been missing for years, is found at the crime scene with a knife in her hand and arrested. Alexander Gullmar is stunned that his wife should have committed the murder of Berger. He wonders where she has been all these years and what she had to do with Berger.
