“Extra class 2+”: Ralph Friesner (Axel Prahl) and Dörte Wiedebusch (Aglaia Szyskowitz) start into a turbulent new school year

In “Extra Class 2+” (ZDF), teacher Ralph Friesner and his evening school class clash with snobbish high school graduates. The first shows the documentary “The Bear Mountain” and in “My Foreign Daughter” (ONE) a retired police officer goes on a sad search for clues.

8:15 p.m., ZDF, extra class 2+, social comedy

Together with his students, Ralph (Axel Prahl) is faced with an unpleasant task: The evening school is moving to an innovative educational center. Ralph thinks this is a bad joke. The new school really gets on Ralph, even if his boss Dörte Wiedebusch is convinced of the concept. Ralph thinks something is wrong with the education center and the fine director. Without further ado, Ralph gets to the bottom of the matter. In doing so, he not only jeopardizes his job, but also Dörtes (Aglaia Szyszkowitz) trust.

8:15 p.m., VOX, The Lion’s Den, founders’ show

Sunburn is not only painful, it also increases the risk of skin cancer. But how long can or should you actually stay in the sun? With “Ajuma”, Annette Barth and Julian Meyer-Arnek have developed a kind of UV bodyguard. A sensor that is worn on clothing or on the wrist measures solar radiation. A corresponding app warns of too much but also too little sun, because not only sunburn, but also a vitamin D deficiency should be prevented. For 110,000 EUR they would give up 15% of their shares. Does a lion get in?

8:15 p.m., Das Erste, The Bear Mountain, Documentary

A mighty mountain deep in the icy northwest of Canada is the home of the young bear Sophie. The film tells the remarkable story of how the inexperienced female grizzly becomes a devoted mother. Thanks to her perseverance and the unique abundance of food in a very special river, she manages to hold her own against all odds. In this untouched and merciless ice wilderness in the far north of Canada, the young mother successfully raises two cubs and leads them through the most difficult year of their lives.

8:15 p.m., ONE, my strange daughter, crime drama

The retired civil servant Johann Bergkamp (Götz George) loses his mental balance due to the sudden death of his daughter Sophie (Nora Waldstätten). Sophie was Bergkamp’s ‘Sunshine’, his absolute favorite in contrast to her brother Markus (Alexander Scheer), a good-for-nothing in Johann Bergkamp’s eyes. But Markus, of all people, saves his father, who drowns his pain in alcohol, from his lethargy. From then on, he goes on a search for clues and tries to find out what circumstances led to Sophie’s death.

10:15 p.m., ZDF, Mission: Impossible – Phantom Protocol, Thriller

Top agent Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) has a new goal: The cunning terrorist Cobalt (Michael Nyqvist) is apparently forging concrete plans for the world’s nuclear destruction. However, in order to reveal his secret identity, Ethan’s IMF team has to break into the Kremlin’s high-security archives. The already extremely risky action turns out to be a perfidious trap: Cobalt not only lays half of Red Square in ruins with a bomb – he also blames Ethan’s troop for this. The team has to go into hiding and is now officially hunted by both the Russians and the Americans.
