The sex offender Dirk Köster (Karsten Mielke), who has been imprisoned for double rape, shoots a law enforcement officer while on leave and fled. Inspector Winnie Heller (Lisa Wagner), who has just reported back from her time off, takes over the case. She receives support from LKA colleague Isabel Voigt (Lavinia Wilson), who brought Köster to prison at the time. At the scene of the crime, the investigators quickly discover that Köster had an accomplice.
