In “Blind determined” (Das Erste) a banker is murdered with potassium cyanide. In the Uckermark, “Doktor Ballouz” (ZDF) fights for the well-being of his patients. At VOX, the mercenary troop “The Expendables” encounters an enemy believed to be dead.

8:15 p.m., Das Erste, blindly determined – death in a Fiaker, crime thriller

Cocaine with a pinch of cyanide salt is a deadly mixture: Alexander Haller (Philipp Hochmair) experiences up close how banker Schachner (Alexander Lutz) collapses after a secretly drawn line. Although the blind inspector cannot see what is going on, he notices the typical bitter almond smell. Haller’s warning comes too late for his sister Sophie (Patricia Aulitzky), who poisoned herself from mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

8:15 p.m., ZDF, Doktor Ballouz: Welcome back, drama series

Heavily pregnant Christina (Sophie Lutz) had an accident with her six-year-old daughter Flori (Mavie Meschkowski) on an avenue. Dr. Ballouz (Merab Ninidze) provides first aid and returns with Christina and Flori to his old place of work, a small clinic in the Uckermark. Together with neurologist Dr. Barbara Forster (Julia Richter) the doctor fights for Christina’s life and that of her unborn baby.

8:15 p.m., VOX, The Expendables 3, Action

Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) and his team face a problem: The troop should prevent a weapons deal. But then it turns out that the arms supplier is Expendables co-founder Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson), who was believed to be dead. And he decides without further ado to have Ross and his crew killed. Ross has no choice, he has to forestall Stonebanks and rounds up a group of tough guys. Together with some of the younger ones as reinforcement, he heralds a new era of expendables.

8:15 p.m., RTL, The Teacher, drama series

As much as David (Simon Böer) wants to understand what is going on emotionally in a teenager’s mind, he fails. When student Kiko (Jan Liem) is caught up with a traumatic event from his childhood, he increasingly suffers from fainting and panic attacks. David manages to get Kiko to talk, but at the same time he lets the class take an exam without realizing how overwhelmed the students are.

8:15 p.m., WDR, crime scene: The Holdt case

It is a case that leads Charlotte Lindholm (Maria Furtwängler) into human abysses and she herself to the brink of resilience: a banker’s wife was kidnapped near Walsrode. In a panic, her husband Frank Holdt (Aljoscha Stadelmann) asks his in-laws, Christian (Ernst Stötzner) and Gudrun Rebenow (Hedi Kriegeskotte), for help with the ransom demand. Against Holdt’s express will, Rebenow informs the police; Holdt then single-handedly delivers the money at the direction of the kidnappers. When Julia Holdts car is found empty in the forest, the worst is to be feared.
