TV tips: "Dennstein & Schwarz" rummage in the political swamp

The lawyer duo "Dennstein & Schwarz" (Das Erste) investigates the murder of a politician. In "Battle of the Titans" (ProSieben) mortal Perseus fights against gods. "Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter" (ProSieben) later messes with the undead.

8:15 p.m., Das Erste, Dennstein & Schwarz: Murder, comedy

Dr. Paula Dennstein (Maria Happel) and Dr. Therese Schwarz (Martina Ebm) get a spectacular case that promises a lot of publicity for her young law firm – but it can also harm her. The up-and-coming politician Konrad Wagner (Manuel Rubey) wants to legally defend himself against a speculative newspaper story that pillories him in the middle of the election campaign as a "Grapscher". Normally, the idealistic female duo sees itself on the principle of women. For Paula, however, the innocence of her long-time friend, whose wife Sylvia (Nele Kiper) is also behind him, is beyond question.

8:15 p.m., ProSieben, Battle of the Titans, fantasy action

One day the fisher Spyros finds a little boy who was abandoned in a coffin in the sea with his dead mother. He takes the boy in and calls him Perseus (Sam Worthington). Years later, Perseus observes how soldiers from the city of Argos destroy a statue of Zeus, the god, to demonstrate their anger at the world of the gods. Hades (Ralph Fiennes), god of the underworld, is sent to punish the soldiers for revolting. But Hades 'anger is directed at the ship on which Perseus' family is located.

The single doctor Urs (Sebastian Rudolph) is a committed person: he takes care of his alcoholic brother Falk (Stefan Stern) and helps in the nearby refugee home. He urges his 19-year-old daughter Jette (Maj-Britt Klenke) to a voluntary social year in South America. He wants to prevent Jette from getting stuck in the province like he does. It should lead a free, self-determined life. But Jette is torn between her childhood sweetheart Mario (Thomas Schubert) and the desire to meet her father's expectations.

Jack Bronson (Uriah Shelton) spends half of his time in a virtual world: he is more interested in video games than in reality. In that he is harassed by his nasty classmates and his single mother has money worries. But one day the game becomes a reality: Jack is transported to ancient China through a magical portal. There he is supposed to free the kidnapped princess from the clutches of Arun (Dave Bautista) the cruel man who wants to enslave the whole kingdom. The problem: he has neither combat experience nor stamina.

Abraham Lincoln (Benjamin Walker) swings the hatchet and transports bloodsuckers to the afterlife. Because since childhood, the US President has hated vampires. When he almost falls victim to himself, he is rescued by Henry Sturges (Dominic Cooper) and trained as a vampire hunter. But in order to exterminate the undead, he has to deprive them of their food source. That's why Lincoln is fighting to abolish slavery as a lawyer. But the biter doesn't make it easy for him.
