In "Die Toten von Marnow" (Das Erste) a serial killer makes Schwerin unsafe. Sandra Bullock takes care of an outlier in "Blind Side" (ProSieben) and for the last time it says "Welcome to Carmen Nebel" on ZDF.

Schwerin sweats. It's the hottest summer in years. Commissioners Lona Mendt (Petra Schmidt-Schaller) and Frank Elling (Sascha Alexander Gersak) are investigating the case of a man who was hung upside down in his bathroom with his throat cut. When another victim is murdered shortly afterwards, the act of a serial killer becomes apparent. But what does a Hartz IV recipient from a Schwerin prefabricated housing estate have in common with the resident of a posh senior citizens' residence on the lake?

Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) is a happy wife, mother of two, and successful business woman. One day she meets the homeless Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron). The teenager cannot write and arithmetic, he wears shorts and a T-shirt every day – even in the icy winter. Leigh Anne invites him to spend the night at her house. The human gesture quickly turns into affection, and Michael soon belongs to the family – despite social and cultural differences.
