In "A village defends itself" (ZDF), a community is resisting the Nazi regime. In the first, Frank Plasberg moderates "2020 – The Quiz". Meanwhile, in "The Greatest Showman" (Sat.1), Hugh Jackman gives the circus pioneer P.T. Barnum.

Altaussee, April 1945. The childhood friends Sepp Rottenbacher (Fritz Karl), miner in the salt mine, and Franz Mitterjäger (Harald Windisch), local shoemaker, hope that the war will end soon. While Franz, who is under surveillance by the Gestapo, and his wife Elsa (Brigitte Hobmeier) help young villagers to desert and survive in the mountains, Sepp stays out of everything. Together with the other miners, he has to move the world-famous works of art stolen from all over Europe by the Nazis to the salt mine in Altaussee.
