Melli (Franziska Hartmann) withheld the rent because the walls were damp and moldy. Instead of remedial action, notice of termination follows. Pushed into homelessness, the single parent moves into the forest with her nine-year-old son Ben (Claudio Magno). Here they improvise a makeshift camp, off the beaten path so that no one can discover them. For Melli, forest life is only a temporary solution until she has found an apartment again. Unlike her, Ben finds forest life exciting, the extreme conditions force the two even closer together.

After his promotion, public prosecutor Manuel Bacher (Felix Klare) and the attractive new public prosecutor, Caroline von Studt (Julia Thurnau), were the only ones left – and ended up in bed.
