In “Gods of Egypt” (ProSieben) Gerard Butler throws ancient Egypt into chaos. “Der Alte” (ZDF) reveals the double life of a murdered building lion and on VOX Matt Damon sets off from a dystopian earth to “Elysium”.

After Set (Gerard Butler), the god of darkness, seizes the Egyptian throne, the empire threatens to sink into chaos. Bek (Brenton Thwaites) is one of the few who still offers resistance to the barbaric king. Finally, he embarks on an unusual alliance: Together with the mighty god Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Bek plans to end Set’s reign of terror. A breathtaking battle begins for Bek and Horus.

8:15 p.m., Das Erste, At Home in the Mountains – The Queen Bee, family series

In the neighborhood of the Hubers and Leitners, the farmer Martha (Gertrud Roll) lives alone on her farm. They are more concerned with beekeeping than their own health. When Marie (Catherine Bode) learns that Martha is terminally ill, she takes care of her maternal friend and takes over the work on the farm. Meanwhile, Martha helps Marie to finally clarify her future with Georg (Thomas Unger) and his father role. In her absence he shows his qualities as a loving dad while looking after little Fritzi.

The former shooting star in the construction industry, Alex Wiegand (Tony Kainz), is found dead in his rented yoga studio. The suspicion of robbery and murder quickly rises. The investigators are investigating why the victim is now financially and mentally poor. Apparently Wiegand has been struggling with an alcohol problem since breaking up with his girlfriend Leoni Nowak (Violetta Schurawlow), and his golf course is on the verge of bankruptcy.

8:15 p.m., VOX, Elysium, sci-fi action

There will be two classes of people in the future: the super-rich who live on a perfect space station specially built for them called the Elysium, and the others who vegetate on earth in poor conditions. When the convicted Max (Matt Damon) is seriously injured at work on Earth, only a ticket to Elysium will help him escape certain death. But the trip there has a high price: transformed into a cyborg, he is supposed to load highly explosive data from the brain of an economic boss into his own brain.
