The homeless Sönke Keller is found dead on the Baltic Sea beach. The man was beaten to death – the motive for the crime is obvious: gold dust is found on the dead man's clothing. Word gets around quickly in Schwanitz and triggers a medium gold rush. Suddenly life dreams come to light, and it also shows what greed does to people. The case presents veterinarian Hauke Jacobs (Hinnerk Schönemann) and police officer Lona Vogt (Henny Reents) with special challenges.
