Former Vienna chief inspector Alexander Haller (Philipp Hochmair) blames himself for the death of his partner, the public prosecutor Kara Hoffmann (Anna Rot), who was killed in an explosive attack two years ago. He cannot get over the attack in which Haller lost his eyesight. One night at the last minute, taxi driver Nikolai Falk (Andreas Guenther) prevents Haller from taking his life out of desperation. Udo Strasser (Stipe Erceg), who was convicted of Kara's murder, creates a new meaning.
