In the Christmas Special, Tim Mälzer and Max Strohe as well as Tim Raue and The Duc Ngo face the challenge of cooking Christmas dishes perfectly. While Team Mälzer / Strohe is going to Switzerland, Team Raue / Duc Ngo in France has a culinary task waiting. After returning home, the four of them celebrate Christmas Eve together to find out who won?

The "Haus Lüdecke" has a long history and is known beyond the borders of Münster. A body is found in the moat of the old moated castle – in knight armor. The dead person is the newly crowned lord of the castle Manfred Radtke (Anthony Arndt). Was it an accident or is there more to it – as Commissioner Thiel (Axel Prahl) suspects? Only a few months ago, the former fair king Radtke bought the venerable castle and wanted to organize medieval games here with his family in the future.

After the attack of a giant sea monster, Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) has no choice but to leave two members of his crew behind to save the rest of the team. Five years after the accident, the events of that mission caught up with him again when the research team led by oceanologist Dr. Minway Zhang (Winston Zhao) is attacked by a gigantic shark in the Mariannengraben.

Once again, the prominent athletes are collecting money for the RTL foundation "We help children" as part of the donation marathon. A stranger is found dead on the beach. He is identified as Vincenzo Fregi through his loyal dog. Petra (Paola Cortellesi) finds 10,000 euros and cryptic notes in his apartment. The investigators meet the dog trainer Valentina (Alessia Giuliani). The self-confident woman takes Montes (Andrea Pennacchi) heart by storm, but Fregi doesn't seem to know her. The veterinarian Luca (Alessandro Tedeschi) recognizes in the notes price lists for dogs that were sold for medical experiments.
