In the first, the "rescuers of the seas" (Das Erste) must prevent a mass extinction of whales. "Kommissarin Lucas" (ZDF) is involved in a car accident with unforeseen consequences. "The Jungle Book" (Sat.1) tells the story of the foundling Mowgli as a real film.

The marine biologist Reno Finnings (Hannes Jaenicke) founded the Global Ocean Foundation (GOF) to save the seas, for which he is seeking support. His partner Pit Wagner (Daniel Roesner) heads a GOF team that looks after a protection zone off Mauritius. In order to designate a second protection zone in the vicinity, Reno seeks cooperation with the powerful Minister Opaline (Gontse Ntshegang) and the luxury hotelier Aigner (Raymond Thiry). However, his partner Pit refuses. When a dead baby whale washes up on the beach, the marine activists track down a garbage scandal.
