TV tips: Starting shot for the new "Tatort" from Zurich

8:15 p.m., Das Erste, crime scene: Züri burns, crime story

On her first day at work, the profiler Tessa Ott (Carol Schuler) is immediately thrown into the deep end: a corpse was found near Lake Zurich with a shot in the head. At the scene of the crime, Ott is greeted frostily by her new colleague Isabelle Grandjean (Anna Pieri Zuercher) – the policewoman is certain that the inexperienced Ott only got the job thanks to vitamin B. Because the young colleague comes from a long-established Zurich family and seems to know everyone. Reluctantly, Grandjean includes the profiler in the investigation.

Family therapist Julia Schindel (Oona Devi Liebich) feels torn between Felix (Nicholas Reinke) and Tonio (Maximilian Grill). Alex gives everything to bring the two different people together. Meanwhile, Hitch himself has an eye on gossip reporter Sara Melas (Eva Mendes).

9:45 p.m., Das Erste, Brokenwood – Murder in New Zealand: The Black Widower, Crime

Detective Mike Shepherd (Neill Rea) and his colleague Kristin Sims (Fern Sutherland) investigate an almost cinematic death beneath gigantic cobwebs in the woods of Brokenwood. The body is Debbie Neilsen, the business-minded organizer of the Film Locations tour who wanted to capitalize on the popularity of a famous film series. As a creepy attraction and the highlight of the tour, Debbie used to scare visitors into the mystical forest, only to calm them down afterwards. But this time the tour ends with her death.
