"Familie Bundschuh" (ZDF) experiences a turbulent Christmas. In the first, Thomas Gottschalk catches up on events that could not take place due to the corona pandemic. The classic "Mord im Orient-Express" (ZDF) will later be shown with a star cast.

This Christmas is anything but reflective for the Bundschuh family. Gundula (Andrea Sawatzki) longs for harmony and tranquility, but she did the math without their chaotic relatives. While Gundula's own children are becoming increasingly alienated – Ricarda (Amber Marie Bongard) has moved out to study and son Matz (Mathis Wernecke) is in puberty – instead, sister-in-law Rose (Eva Löbau) and baby Eddie Barack have made their home in the Bundschuh family.

Thomas Gottschalk catches up with part of what did not take place this year. On his sofa, he welcomes prominent and non-prominent people who have interesting and emotional stories to tell. One evening everything is as we wished it to be at the beginning of the year. The guests include singer Alexander Klaws, Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn and top model Toni Garrn.

Luke knows what a Christmas party is like, like carols and presents. Of course: "Kevin – Home Alone". It's good that he has already seen the film, because when Hugo Egon Balder and Hella try to sneak out of their senses to his Christmas party, he stands up to them in the best Kevin fashion.

New York cop John McClane (Bruce Willis) is blackmailed by terrorist Simon (Jeremy Irons), who threatens to blow up various targets in Manhattan. McClane has to walk through the city as a walking target, for example in Harlem he has to carry a large sign that says "I hate niggers". Only with the help of the shopkeeper Zeus (Samuel L. Jackson) does McClane survive this incident and, together with his companion, start the hunt for Simon. But this one is pretty torn.

10:15 p.m., ZDF, murder on the Orient Express, crime thriller

A luxury train traveled from Istanbul to Central Europe in 1934. On board: Master detective Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh) and a group of select guests (including Johnny Depp, Penélope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Olivia Colman). One morning a dead man lies in a car. The man was murdered. The perpetrator must still be on the train. When the train gets stuck in a snowstorm, Hercule Poirot has time to investigate his fellow travelers.
