The “Istanbul Murder Commission” (Das Erste) is investigating when a young girl disappears without a trace. Johannes B. Kerner is looking for the “Quiz Champion” (ZDF) among celebrities. In “Goosebumps 2” (Sat.1) a small town is haunted by fictional characters.

8:15 p.m., Das Erste, Murder Commission Istanbul: Decision in Athens, crime thriller

A narrow shopping street in Athens, a spontaneous dress rehearsal – while Sevim (Idil Üner) waits in front of the boutique, Clara (Alexandra Kolaiti), the 17-year-old daughter of her partner Steffen (Michael Rotschopf), disappears from the changing room without a trace. When the local police do not take Sevim’s missing person report seriously and Steffen seems to have been swallowed by the earth, she asks her ex-husband Mehmet Özakin (Erol Sander) for help.

8:15 p.m., ZDF, The Quiz Champion, rate show

It’s all or nothing: a candidate faces five bright minds in exciting duels to become “The Quiz Champion”. Only those who defeat Anne Gesthuysen (“Current Affairs”), Marcel Reif (“Sport”), Bastian Pastewka (“Film & Television”), Wigald Boning (“Geography”) and Axel Milberg (“Literature & Language”) in their specialist areas, can win 100,000 euros.

8:15 p.m., Sat.1, goose bumps 2: Scary Halloween, Fantasy

Teenagers Sam (Caleel Harris) and Sonny (Jeremy Ray Taylor) have no idea what they encountered while clearing out a crumbling wall. An initially inconspicuous book by RL Stine unexpectedly brings out the wooden doll Slappy, who soon reveals that she can speak and that she possesses supernatural powers. But as friendly as Slappy is at the beginning, his real self soon emerges.

The young New Yorker Izzy (Imogen Poots) works for an escort service, but wants to become an actress. The married director Arnold (Owen Wilson) spends a night with her under a false name. The next morning they see each other again at a casting. Arnold gives Izzy a role in the play, in which his wife Delta (Kathryn Hahn) also plays.

9.45 p.m., Das Erste, Sophie Cross – Dangerous Dunes: Bloody Businesses, Crime

A newly emerged photo of her missing son awakens new hope in Sophie Cross (Alexia Barlier). She also receives support from her husband Thomas Leclercq (Thomas Jouannet), who, through new evidence, sets out with Sophie to find Arthur (Martin Verset), who disappeared more than three years ago. Sophie also gets unexpected support from her superior Gabriel Deville (Cyril Lecomte), who advises her face to face: Never give up!
