An expedition team (Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, Samuel L. Jackson, etc.) sets off into the depths of the South Pacific, to the unexplored island of "Skull Island". As the helicopters approach the island, one giant after another is brought down by a giant monkey. But Kong is not the only giant prehistoric monster that has its home in this untouched paradise.

The brothers Andrew (Scott Eastwood) and Garrett Forster (Freddie Thorp) finance their lives by stealing expensive luxury bodies from wealthy clients. After the death of his wife Benjamin Mee (Matt Damon) wants to start again: The journalist is looking for a new home for himself and his two children Rosie (Maggie Elizabeth Jones) and Dylan (Colin Ford) – and finds an entire zoo! He buys the demolished zoo and brings the grounds up to scratch. He is supported by the attractive zookeeper Kelly (Scarlett Johansson), who has found Benjamin very fond. In order not to go bankrupt, they have to open as soon as possible. Easier said than done.
