The pre-production of the series Twisted Metal by PlayStation Productions currently in full swing. We already knew that Anthony Mackie would play the lead role in John Doeand had recently discovered the other renowned actors who are Thomas Haden Church, Stephanie Beatriz and Neve Campbell who joined the cast.
But what about sweettooth, the emblematic fiery clown acting as the real mascot of the license? It was announced this week that it would be directly the producer of the series Will Arnett who would give his voice to the character. The actor seen in Arrested Development, Parks and Recreation and many others is not at his first attempt: he has already lent his voice to Batman in the movies LEGO, bojack horseman or even the dragon lord in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands (available from €44.99 on Amazon.co.uk).
Who says voice actor says character in special effects? Not necessarily, because while it’s not impossible for visual effects to be used, it is the body of the wrestler of the AEW Samoa Joe which will appear on the screenwith the voice of Will Arnett therefore. Deadlinewhich reports the information, specifies that sweettooth will be depicted here as “a hilarious and terrifying man, as emotional as he is cunning, a majestic rage-filled chaos-loving killer who wears an ever-smiling clown mask and uses Lost Vegas as his personal hunting ground, while driving his infamous truck of apocalyptic ice cream”.
The site reveals in passing 3 other recurring characters and actors who will embody them. Mike Mitchell (The Tomorrow War) will be stubest friend of Mikeplayed by Tahj Vaughans (P Valley) with whom he forms a duo à la Rosencrantz and Guildenstern“more partisan than combatant”. Lou Beatty Jr. (Finding Normal) will be him tommy, “a grizzled, aged cartographer who knows the dangers of the Wild Midwest.” A beautiful little band is emerging for this series to come soon on peacock.
