Antoine Daniel made history this past weekend by organizing the 1st edition of the Geoguessr Team World Cup, the famous online geography game where you are dropped somewhere on the planet and the goal is to locate yourself. It was live from Paris, and for such a special and unique event, it was a success!
In front of nearly 35,000 spectators on average over a stream of nearly 15 hours, with a peak of 45,000, the Speed Plonkers made up of German Kodiak, Swedish Maccem and French Blinky won ahead of A Community Team (Toro3317, matepotato and Radu). A very daring bet that pays off.
A phenomenal level
From the group stages to the finals, it was clear that most of the players were from another planet. Of the guesses as fast as they are unusual for nearly 15 hours, in fierce matches and tests more difficult than each other. Time limit, movement restrictions, only one image, all the challenges were faced by the participants.
Under the comments of Antoine Daniel, MisterMV or Etoiles, after the group stages and a final bracket of 16 teams, these are therefore the Speed Plonkers who won 3-0 in the final and pocketed part of the €25,000 at stake in this competition.
