Twitch: streaming from an Xbox now easier than ever

If the streamers professionals have all the equipment they need to broadcast their games, many amateurs have to make do with the basic broadcasting functionalities. On Xboxthe mechanism for launching lives was obviously not ergonomic enough, so Microsoft worked with Amazon to simplify it.

From now on you can stream your game from an Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One, by going to the tab Capture and Share of the guide, then clicking on Live broadcast. The manipulation first requires link your console to your account Twitch through a QR Code to scan, but once this is done, everything will become easier. This optimized menu will also easily manage the audio and resolution of your stream.

Starting now, Xbox and Twitch are teaming up to make it easier for you to stream content from your Xbox. You can now access Twitch directly from the Xbox guide and set up your broadcasts in a few simple steps.

Get started easily via the Xbox guide
On your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One, go to the ‘Capture and Share’ tab, then select ‘Live Stream’. You will need to link your Twitch account by scanning the QR code with an iOS or Android device or by visiting the link displayed from your PC or mobile device. Once your account is linked, tap “Stream Now” to begin live streaming games downloaded to your console.

Manage your stream’s audio and resolution
Then plug in your headset and camera. You’ll be able to set your stream title, manage your game and mic volume, include party chat, and even choose your resolution and bitrate from the options menu. All you have to do is click on “Broadcast now”. Want to switch games in the middle of a stream? No problem, a pause screen will be displayed when you’re not playing and your console will automatically update the game you’re playing on Twitch.

You are live!
Anyone will be able to watch your streams, regardless of the device they use to access Twitch. On Xbox, players who follow you can choose to receive notifications when you start a broadcast on Twitch. To enable this feature, go to Preferences, then Xbox Notifications and adjust the live streaming options.
