Streamers Lixiviatio and Neivee mobilized all weekend on the live streaming platform Twitch, to raise money for the feminist association “En avant tous”, which fights against sexist and sexual violence. A successful bet: the donations exceed tens of thousands of euros.
42,000 euros in donations. This is the handsome sum that Lixiviatio and Neivee, two streamers from the Twitch platform, managed to collect. They mobilized throughout last weekend to raise this amount. By hosting their Twitch channels live, they have enabled their viewers to multiply donations, and thus raise money for the feminist association “En avant tous”. The 42,000 euros in donations will allow this association to continue its mission to fight against sexist and sexual violence.
Twitch, a committed platform
The Twitch platform is definitely a good place to collect donations. The best example to date dates back to last November: streamers had managed to collect more than 10 million euros for the association “Action against hunger”.
Among the many animated fundraising campaigns on Twitch, some are also political. In January 2020, streamers took turns 24 hours a day for several days to fund a strike fund to support workers opposing the pension reform. Their action raised 143,000 euros.
