Twitter accuses Elon Musk of dragging his feet in their litigation

WILMINGTON, Delaware, July 19 (Reuters) – Twitter on Monday accused Elon Musk of “dragging his feet” to slow down proceedings the company has launched to coerce the businessman into completing his $44 billion takeover, asking a trial in September to preserve the terms of the agreement, according to a court document.

The American social network accuses the billionaire of having created a “cloud of doubt” impacting the exchange of millions of shares on the stock market. “Never has a listed company of this size had to face such uncertainties”, is it written in the document.

Elon Musk has filed a request for the trial to be held in February, and not in September as Twitter wishes as part of an accelerated procedure. (Report Tom Hals; French version Jean Terzian)
