Twitter will only share ad revenue with the author of a thread… on one condition

Twitter will offer the ability to share revenue associated with ads that appear along certain creators’ threads.

But to qualify, you must meet a specific condition. It seems that Elon Musk, always looking for new financial sources for his social network, wants to enhance his Twitter Blue offer a little more.

Twitter Blue, 10 euros and a little extra money?

We’ve heard it a lot in recent months: Twitter needs money. Since the takeover of the social network by Elon Musk, many ideas have been proposed to offset the impact of the departure of many advertisers. Even if a certain number of them will finally still be present in 2023, the finances of the blue bird remain in a complicated situation.

We have thus seen the possibility of getting certified for around 10 euros per month in France with the Twitter Blue subscription. This subscription offers a number of benefits, including one that was just announced by Elon Musk on Twitter. Indeed, members with the blue dot of the network can now share advertising revenue with the company.

Twitter also wants to reward content creators

This possibility will be reserved for subscribers creating threads, these long queues of messages one after the other to develop a subject in more detail. This format is an opportunity to see advertisements appear. Elon Musk has not yet given details on the level of remuneration to which tweeters will be entitled. But this announcement is clearly part of the billionaire’s desire to fund content creators.

It would thus follow the model of all the platforms that work, whether it is TikTok, YouTube or even Twitch, the big hit of the moment. Elon Musk wants to create an all-in-one application, like WeChat, where the user could access all the essential daily services. But for that, he will have to increase the reach of his social network. Is the sharing of advertising revenue set up in this sense?
