Two dream goals against Nuremberg
Eleven magical minutes are enough for 1. FC Kaiserslautern

On the 5th matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga, 1. FC Kaiserslautern got on the road to victory with two dream goals within a few minutes. 1. FC Nürnberg is slowed down by the video evidence in the race to catch up.

Thanks to a rapid start, 1. FC Kaiserslautern won the duel between the traditional clubs against 1. FC Nürnberg on the 5th matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga 3:1 (3:1). In front of 43,677 spectators in the Fritz Walter Stadium on Saturday, Richmond Tachie (19th minute), Tymoteusz Puchacz (26th) and Ragnar Ache (30th) scored the goals for the Red Devils. The first two goals were spectacular: Tachie scored with a volley, Puchacz then took heart from a long distance and drove the ball into the goal with tremendous force. Lukas Schleimer (37th) scored for the “Club”, who only finished the game with ten men.

FCN goalkeeper Christian Mathenia saw the red card in the 88th minute because of an emergency brake. Because the guests had already used up all the options to change, outfield player Tim Handwerker had to remain between the posts of the Nuremberg goal for the rest of the season. However, nothing more happened. A possible goal was taken back in the 70th minute after video evidence.

After a strong start, the guests were literally overrun by the home side in just eleven minutes in the middle of the first half. Schleimer’s hit gave the Franks hope again, for whom Kanji Okunuki (41st) only hit the post.

The guests continued to press after the restart, Kaiserslautern were now waiting for a counterattack. Ache only put the ball on the post after 56 minutes. Kaiserslautern, who had started the season with two defeats, defended their lead in the final phase with luck and skill and celebrated their third win in a row, also because two Nuremberg goals were not recognized for being offside.
