PlayStation Portal is coming soon and with it, two new features that you will definitely love. But you will have to pay the price to have fun and make the most of the experience.
The PlayStation Portal will arrive normally next month, if all goes well. Often compared to a PS5 Portable, in particular because of the numerous leaks which preceded its officialization, the machine is in reality designed to be a remote player allowing us to comfortably use the remote play of our PS5. An additional device that has caused a lot of talk. But despite the criticism, it’s already a real hit! The pre-orders speak for themselves, the PS Portal is of interest and should be a great success for Sony.
Alongside the machine, accessories had also been announced. A brand new headset, the PULSE Elite, and PULSE Explore headphones, but until now, we didn’t know when these were going to be released or when pre-orders would be open. But it is now done.
Two new high-end peripherals in addition to PlayStation Portal
Sony has indeed just communicated once again about its new products in the PULSE range by finally giving us the release dates and those for pre-orders. The two items will be released on different dates. Wireless headphones Pulse Explore will be available from December 6, 2023while the helmet Pulse Elite will be released on February 21, 2024, a few days before Valentine’s Day. If you plan to take the lead and pre-order one of the two materials (or both), know that pre-orders will open on November 9 at 10 a.m.. Mark a cross in the calendar.
As is often the case, these new features will mainly be available on the Sony website via direct.playstation.com. The firm nevertheless specifies that certain selected resellers will also have the right to open pre-orders for the Pulse Explore and the Pulse Elite, but we do not yet know the list. We assume that resellers like Fnac or Amazon will quickly have their authorization, we will follow this closely.
Pulse Explore and Pulse Elite: prices and promises
As a reminder, the Pulse Explore headphones and the Pulse Elite headset will not only be compatible with the new PlayStation Portal, but also with the PS5. The Pulse Elite will also work wirelessly and Sony assures us that there will be no loss of quality. The headset will be equipped with a retractable boom microphone and AI-optimized noise-canceling technology to ensure optimal, noise-free sound capture. In-house 3D audio, ultra-comfortable cushion and an attractive design… these are all the promises made by Sony.
The headphones are not to be outdone and benefit from the same audio technologies as the headset (3D audio, wireless, etc.), but also the same on-board AI system which ensures excellent microphone sound. All this is very promising, even if we will wait until we have them in our hands to judge definitively. Sony is clearly aiming for a premium experience here and the rating may turn off some people. The Pulse Elite headset is launched at a price of €149.99 while the headphones go even higher and have a price of €219.99.
