Two injured – scaffolding collapsed in Tyrol along with workers

Shocking moment Monday afternoon at a construction site in the Tyrolean town of Barwies. Scaffolding collapsed there for an unknown reason. Two workers (16 and 40) were on the scaffolding. They were swept away and injured in the incident.

The 16-year-old apprentice and his 40-year-old colleague were busy doing plumbing work on the new building in Barwies. They were standing on the approximately two meter high scaffolding that was anchored to the wall of the house with dowels. Suddenly the anchoring came loose and the scaffolding tipped over. The two workers no longer had a chance to hold on to anything and fell to the ground. According to police, both suffered significant injuries. They were taken to Zams Hospital.
