Two inmates injured – lost control: car crashes into embankment wall

Serious accident on Monday evening in Reith in the Tyrolean Alpbachtal! A Slovenian car driver (20) lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a wall after a tunnel. He and his passenger were injured in the crash. The car was totaled.

The accident occurred around 6.15 p.m. The 20-year-old drove his car on Alpbacher Strasse in the direction of Brixlegg. “In the municipality of Reith im Alpbachtal, he lost control of the vehicle in the tunnel there for a previously unknown cause,” the police said. After the tunnel, the man got over the edge of the road and hit the embankment wall there.

Car overturn several times
As a result, the car rolled over several times and finally came to rest on its wheels. Both the driver and his co-driver were able to leave the accident vehicle independently. After receiving first aid from an emergency doctor, they were taken to the hospital in Kufstein with injuries. The car was totaled.

The Alpachtal volunteer fire brigade, the rescue service with two ambulances and an ambulance, the road maintenance department and two police patrols were in action.
