Two new Avatar: The Last Airbender games are in development, including one on consoles

License Avatar should soon know several adaptations in films and series, but also in video games. No, we’re not talking aboutAvatar of James Cameron and his blue heroes, but of the series Avatar: The Last Airbender, a little less popular but much appreciated. This weekend the news around the saga intensified with the surprise appearance of a mobile game, but not only, since a leak also seems to confirm that another game Avatar is in development on consoles.

An open-world RPG, but on mobiles

First of all, we were able to discover the existence ofAvatar: Generationswhich is none other thana mobile game developed by Square Enix London Mobile and Navigator Gameswhich takes the form ofan RPG with turn-based combat in an open world.

This free-to-play will allow us to take control of Aang and his gang through a first chapter that will retrace the main story of the serieswhile we will have to recruit new characters to improve our team. Other chapters will come later to tell us the stories of Avatars Kyoshi, Korra and Roku.

The game will experience a soft launch from this month of August in various countries such as Denmark, Sweden or Canada, but it will arrive later in other countries such as France. An official website is already online.

Another game planned for consoles

Meanwhile, VGC reports that another game Avatar: The Last Airbender was listed at the Japanese branch of Amazon on PlayStation 4. It would be titled Avatar: Quest for Balanceand would be edited by Game Mill Entertainmentwhich is customary for Nickelodeon games, since we owe it Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.

And we even already have a release date, posted on November 8th.. According to rumors that surfaced earlier in the year, it would also be an RPG that would highlight Aang’s story, but we do not know more for the moment. We may find out during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, since the game should be released soon.
