Indeed, according to the media Business Insider, the latter would have recently acquired 10,000 graphics processors for one of the two data centers of Twitter. Coupled with the announcement of the recruitment of two former employees of Google’s AI unit, DeepMind, this operation signs the ambitions of the boss of Tesla in the sector. The AI ​​that would be developed should thus be able to be trained on the massive volume of data of the social network.

It must be said that Elon Musk is very far from being a novice in the field of artificial intelligence. He has been talking about it for several years to justify his project of neural implants that would allow humans to keep up with the cognitive abilities of future AIs. Additionally, he is one of the founders of OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT which he left in 2018.

He was also a critic of the chatbot that set the planet on fire, notably finding it too “woke”. Following these remarks, the businessman had started to form his own team with the aim of creating an artificial intelligence that would respect his vision of what technology can offer to the public.
