Two officers injured – aggressive patient hit a police officer in the face

Because the rescue workers were overwhelmed by a patient who was a little unreasonable, they requested support from the police. The violent patient hit an officer in the face several times and attacked other police officers and paramedics with a stethoscope.

The police were called to the 15th district on Sunday night to support a rescue operation because of an unreasonable patient. The man was lying on the floor in a stairwell. After the police arrived, the man became extremely aggressive and insulted the police officers. Suddenly he attacked a female officer and punched her several times in the face. He then snatched a stethoscope from one of the paramedics present and began to thrash around and attack the police officers and paramedics present. Kicks and punches The 35-year-old defended himself against the arrest with kicks and punches. Due to the violent resistance, two officers were injured during the official act. They were unable to continue their duties and were taken to hospitals for further evaluation. The arrested man also lashed out in the arrest area and attacked officers present. Multiple serious bodily injuries The 35-year-old, who stated that he had consumed addictive substances before the crime, denied the crime during questioning and said he could not remember anything. After consultation with the Vienna public prosecutor’s office, the suspect was taken to a prison. The investigation is being carried out, among other things, on suspicion of resistance to state authority, multiple serious bodily harm and physical attacks on members of the health or emergency services.
