Three mastiffs attacked a 15-year-old girl in Noyen-sur-Sarthe, a town of 2,500 inhabitants southwest of Le Mans. A young man who came to help him was also bitten. Both victims were hospitalized. These dogs were already known for similar attacks in the municipality.

A 15-year-old girl and a young man who came to help her were hospitalized after being attacked on Saturday by three stray dogs in a town in Sarthe, AFP learned from the gendarmerie on Sunday, confirming information from the newspaper Le Free Maine. The facts occurred on Saturday afternoon in the center of Noyen-sur-Sarthe, a town of 2,500 inhabitants located southwest of Le Mans.

“An investigation is underway,” police said. Of American Bully breed, the three dogs, as well as two others of the same breed belonging to the same owner, were seized. In adulthood, their weight can reach 50kg.

Other attacks perpetrated by these dogs

According to the mayor of Noyen-sur-Sarthe, Jean-Louis Morice, who asks that “the dogs be euthanized”, “this is not the first time that this has happened”. “These dogs have already bitten someone in the town. Three weeks ago, they even attacked donkeys,” he told an AFP correspondent.

Less than a week ago, another mastiff injured four people in Grigny in Essonne. A neighbour, having failed to calm the animal, had then killed it with a knife.
