Two separate cases – double murder alarm, three dead: Graz in shock

There were two murder alarms on Friday in Graz: a couple in their mid-70s died from gunshot wounds. A man in his mid-30s died in a stabbing in the Eggenberg district.

Two terrible bloody crimes occurred in Graz on Friday evening. First, a couple from Graz died near the central cemetery. The police speak of an “extended suicide”. Apparently a man (75) shot his wife (72) with a small caliber gun and then killed himself. But it may also be that the two committed suicide together. According to initial information from the police, there is a farewell letter in which the couple declare that they want to end their lives. Media reports that the woman is said to have been ill. The crime apparently happened not far from the grave that the two pensioners had already chosen for themselves. Knife stabbing cost the young man his life. The second crime also happened around 6 p.m. in Graz-Eggenberg on Vinzenzgasse. “A dispute between two men has escalated. A man in his mid-60s fatally stabbed a man in his mid-30s in the neck area,” said police spokesman Michael Martinelli. The perpetrator was caught and is now in custody. The investigations are currently in full swing. Further details are still unclear. Are you thinking of suicide?
