Marvel wants to hit hard
Marvel Studios has had a rather tumultuous year. Their latest release, The Marvels, was not as successful as expected, and ongoing developments leave the future uncertain. Jonathan Majors, interpreter of Kang the Conqueror, continues to appear in season 2 of Loki, but his future seems very largely compromised.
According to well-known leaker and tipster Daniel Richtman, Marvel is preparing to launch four new sequels in the MCU: Eternals 2, Doctor Strange 3, Black Panther 3 and Thor 5. Although these titles have not yet been officially confirmed by Marvel , there are indications that Doctor Strange 3 is already on the way. At the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Clea (played by Charlize Theron) appears in a post-credits scene, clearly announcing what’s next for Doctor Strange.
Many projects
Currently, these films remain as rumors, but certain elements are already known to fans. Taika Waititi, the director of Thor: Love and Thunder, has officially announced that he will not return for Thor 5. The cast of Eternals also seems uncertain about a sequel, with Kumail Nanjiani expressing his doubts in 2022.
On the other hand, Black Panther 3 seems more likely. Letitia Wright told Variety earlier this year that the film was already in the works. So it’s a certainty. Fan reactions to these announcements are mixed. Some criticize Disney’s strategy, considering it more focused on quantity than quality. And this despite Kevin Feige’s announcements on the paradigm shift. Others, on the other hand, are enthusiastic about the idea of finding their favorite characters in new adventures. It’s truly double or nothing in terms of success. A poker move that could determine the future of Marvel Studios.
