The bodies of three deceased people, two women and a “young child”, were discovered on Friday in an apartment in Amiens, and a criminal investigation was opened, AFP learned from the Amiens prosecutor’s office.
“A criminal investigation has been opened. The judicial police have been seized,” prosecutor Alexandre de Bosschère told AFP. The victims, who died of “violent death”, were discovered at midday by the firefighters, warned by a relative who was worried about not having an answer to his calls, according to the firefighters. The emergency services had to enter through the window on the first floor.
“A public prosecutor, the judicial police, the judicial identity (technical and scientific police) and a forensic doctor” were dispatched to the scene. The area has been cordoned off.
