According to the US business magazine "Forbes", Hollywood has a new billionaire: Director, actor, producer and screenwriter Tyler Perry (50, "Meet The Browns") is allowed to join an exclusive circle of billionaire stars. These include: Talk show icon Oprah Winfrey (66), US rapper Jay-Z (50) and "Star Wars" inventor George Lucas (76).
"Forbes" estimates Perry's net worth at one billion US dollars. He is said to have earned more than $ 1.4 billion since 2005. 1,200 TV episodes, 22 films and two dozen plays already adorn his résumé. The once homeless all-rounder owns the rights to all of his projects. His films alone are said to have grossed just under a billion to date.
