Tyrolean Advent Calendar – Waiting for the Christ Child goes by in no time

Sleep five more times, then the first little door can finally be opened! We have discovered some special Tyrolean Advent calendars that melt on your tongue, are good for your skin or just invite you to listen.

Young and old can look forward to a daily surprise in the run-up to Christmas. And if the advent calendar still has a regional touch, that’s good too. The chocolate calendar is of course an absolute classic. There is also one from a local company: Tiroler Edle sweetens the time until Christmas with a small but nice surprise package for those with a sweet tooth. You can pull a piece of chocolate out of it every day.The mini tablets in six different flavors are wrapped in organic film made from renewable raw materials.Schnaps or liqueurs to tasteIf you prefer to drink your daily Advent surprise, the Aggstein calendar is a good choice. The surprise package from the St. Johann company impresses not only with its unusual cube shape, but also with a variety of fine brandies. Every day from December 1st to December 24th, a schnapps or liqueur from the Aggstein range is waiting to be tasted. 24 small gifts that keep you clean, but you don’t necessarily have to put something edible or drinkable behind the door. How about, for example, various care products instead? The Advent calendar of the Tyrolean company Walde with shops in Innsbruck is filled with lip balm, hair shampoo and various hand-made soaps – including frankincense and avocado soap. If you haven’t found the right thing for you yet, you can simply fill your advent calendar yourself. The greenroot unpackaged store in Innsbruck, for example, offers this option. If you bring your (still empty) calendar there and top it up with sweets, you not only save the environment a lot of packaging waste, but also get a ten percent discount on your purchase. Tirolean Choir Association has calendars for your ears. The Tyrolean Choir Association, for example, has come up with a nice campaign: a musical Advent calendar. On the website chorverband.tirol you can click on a window every day, whereupon a Christmas carol will sound. The songs were selected by the board members of the choir association and the respective song is then posted daily on Facebook, as the choir association managing director Viktor Schellhorn explains. “In such a way that you can start the day with a Christmas carol from 6 am at breakfast.”
