Game news Ubisoft’s next Star Wars video game shows off with a particularly convincing gameplay sequence

Ubisoft took advantage of its summer conference to present its highly anticipated Star Wars Outlaws to the world. The Massive teams presented various rather impressive game sequences. We were thus able to witness a gameplay loop, which consisted of wandering through space, participating in a fight, finding a destination, making a jump into subspace and then landing on a planet, in a completely seamless manner ( unlike Starfield, therefore). The demo showed that it was possible to explore the places freely, on foot or in a vehicle. We were also able to discover some gadgets that the heroine is equipped with, such as glasses allowing us to spot enemies from a distance. We were also able to see how his little companion could help him when the situation required it.
The gameplay sequences look particularly varied with infiltration and of course action. The scenery serves as cover during combat, while the explosive elements can send enemies in all directions if a well-placed laser shot activates them. Technically, we’re at the top of the heap for an open-world game that looks really huge. Sure, the faces are a little stiff, but the facial expressions are plentiful. A galaxy full of opportunities awaits the player, as the voiceover repeats, with dangerous creatures, battles aboard the franchise’s most famous ships, and exploration. The first open world Star Wars game revealed some of its secrets and exposed several systems, such as reputation, or the numerous movements that it is possible to perform during the action and exploration phases.
Ubisoft strikes back
As a reminder, Star Wars Outlaws places its plot between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and follows Kay Vess, an outlaw who wants to start a new life by gaining her freedom. You will have to meet the worst gangsters in the galaxy and venture into criminal syndicates and gain respect thanks to the blaster, the heroine’s thieving skills, but also her gift for manipulation.
