Udo Lindenberg announces an important operation. He sees the main reason for this in his job.

A serious message packed in an entertaining way: Udo Lindenberg (77) needs a new knee, as he told his Instagram followers on Thursday night.

In the post he calls himself “Dr. Humpelberg” and describes the health problem in flowery words: “Everything easy folks – just a sports injury on the knee. Eternal fitness jogging, stage action without end, repeatedly hitting the knees, singing while lying down, roll backwards. Now it’s mal n Knie el busted”, says the still very successful musician, writer and painter.

He takes the upcoming knee operation lightly, at least verbally: “I’ll have a new one installed in a few days, zak zak, then the gazelle will sprint again across the stages in the stadiums and arenas. So no panic – only at the moment I’m Dr . Humpelberg”, writes the Hamburger by choice. He doesn’t see a long break coming after that either, instead the rehab phase goes like this: “Soon new knee in, then come the pirate crutches and the eye patch. Pirates of the Caribbean. So fans, keep cool, it’s just the calm before the next storm yeah,” said Lindenberg.

Incidentally, he has just come through a professional storm, but a refreshing, summery one. Because the duet “Komet” by Lindenberg and rapper Apache 207 (25) hit like one and dominated the charts at will until well into the summer.

Warm wishes from the fans

The fans wish their idol only the best: under his post they write friendly things like: “Quick recovery, dear Udo, you put it away with a lot of humor … it can only be good.” Or: “Get well soon […] Everything will be fine and then you’ll sprint around the comet again.” Another user comments: “You rock it without panic!” You can also read: “You’ll soon be jumping again like a young deer.”

All the get well wishes are garnished with lots of red hearts and green shamrocks.
