Udo Walz was buried in Berlin. Numerous celebrities attended the funeral. Tears flowed at a Hildegard Knef song.

The star hairdresser Udo Walz (1944-2020) has found his final resting place in the Waldfriedhof Berlin-Dahlem. His husband Carsten Thamm-Walz (50) in the "Bild" newspaper: "Udo was buried anonymously in a meadow. He wanted to be burned and then buried in nature." In front of the urn grave, the guests at the funeral laid numerous white lilies, the deceased's favorite flowers.

According to the magazine, a total of 50 mourners were on site, including numerous celebrities such as Joko Winterscheidt (41), Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (37), Michael Michalsky (53) and Barbara Becker (54). Among other things, moderator Sabine Christiansen (63) gave a speech. Thamm-Walz also said that he had played the Hildegard Knef song "I'm so homesick for Kurfürstendamm": "Everyone was crying at the latest."

Udo Walz died on November 20, 2020 at the age of 76. He suffered sugar shock two weeks earlier and has been in a coma ever since. In addition to numerous German celebrities such as Angela Merkel (66), Heidi Klum (47) and Marlene Dietrich (1901-1992), the star hairdresser also counted international artists among his customers. Julia Roberts (53) and Naomi Campbell (50) had his hair cut by him.
