In this country, the UEFA EURO 2020 can be admired on three channels: These are the expert teams from ARD, ZDF and Magenta TV.

On Friday (June 11th) at 9 p.m. the match between Turkey and Italy will start in Rome: UEFA EURO 2020 will finally start – around a year late due to the corona pandemic. In Germany, the games can be seen on the one hand on the public broadcasters Das Erste and ZDF. However, if you really want to watch all the games, you can’t avoid the Magenta TV streaming service.

The three broadcasting stations each rely on teams who will accompany, analyze and classify the European championship with concentrated professional competence. Former world champions, ex-DFB captains, coach stars, active Bundesliga players and referee legends: These are the expert teams from ARD, ZDF and Magenta TV.

The ARD team

The first shows a total of 13 group games, including the German team’s game against Portugal on June 19 at 6 p.m. The ARD later broadcasts two quarter-finals and one semi-finals. It has not yet been decided which parts that will be exactly.

It is broadcast mainly from Cologne, where presenter Alexander Bommes (45) guides through the programs. He is alternately supported by ex-Bundesliga professional Kevin Prince Boateng (34), U21 national coach Stefan Kuntz (58) and former referee Lutz Wagner (58) and national goalkeeper Almuth Schult (30).

Depending on the pandemic situation, the ex-DFB captain Bastian Schweinsteiger (36) with presenter Jessy Wellmer (41) should be live in the stadium for some games. The games are commented on by Florian Naß (53), Tom Bartels (55) and Gerd Gottlob (56). The former Bundesliga professional Thomas Broich (40) is at your side as a co-commentator.

The ZDF team

ZDF will also broadcast 13 group matches, including the DFB duels against France on Tuesday, June 15 at 9 p.m. and the game against Hungary on June 23 at 9 p.m. There are also two quarter-finals, a semi-final and the final. It is broadcast from the headquarters in Mainz, where Jochen Breyer (38) and Katrin Müller-Hohenstein (55) take turns. They are supported by the 2014 world champions, Per Mertesacker (36) and Christoph Kramer (30) as well as the former Bayern striker Sandro Wagner (33).

The games are commented on by Béla Réthy (64), Oliver Schmidt (born 1969), Claudia Neumann (57) and Martin Schneider (54). The Magenta TV team

A new addition is the Telekom streaming service Magenta TV, which has also acquired ten additional group games exclusively that will not be shown on the public broadcasters. This means that all 51 UEFA EURO 2020 matches will only be shown on Magenta TV. Johannes B. Kerner (56) and Sascha Bandermann (49) are used as studio moderators; they are supported with analyzes by Jan Henkel (47), ex-Schalke trainer Manuel Baum (41) and referee Patrick Ittrich (42) .

Former DFB captain Michael Ballack (44) and soccer manager Fredi Bobic (49) will have the floor as experts. It is also becoming well-known among the moderators of the games. Magenta TV relies on Wolff-Christoph Fuss (44), Marco Hagemann (44), Jan Platte, Markus Höhner (55), Christian Straßburger (30) and Benni Zander (32).
